Algoma Utilities offers a scholarship to high school seniors.

Algoma Utilities along with our power supplier WPPI Energy, is offering a $1,000 a Public Power Scholarship to high school seniors. The purpose of the program is to give something back to the community, to increase awareness of public power and to inform customers about the benefits of having a municipal utility.

A scholarship will be awarded to an essay contest winner who plans to continue their education by attending a post-secondary educational institution. The student or their legal guardian must be a customer of Algoma Utilities. Completed scholarship materials are due to the Algoma Utilities office by April 16, 2015.  Please refer to the following link for scholarship guidelines.
