Celebrate Public Power

Across the nation each October, more than 2,000 community-owned utilities, like Algoma Utilities, observe Public Power Week. Public Power means our homes and businesses run on electricity provided by a utility that is community-owned, not-for-profit, and has a mission to serve local citizens.

During the month of October, we will be collecting items to donate to Algoma Elementary School and having a door prize giveaway.  If you make a donation to the school, you will received a free energy conservation item (while supplies last).

Please help out the children in our community by donating a new-packaged school supply item from the list below.
      • Hats & Mittens
      • Pocket Folders
      • Scotch Tape
      • Wide Masking Tape
      • Glue Sticks
      • Backpacks

You can enter our door prize drawing to receive one of several energy conservation kits.  Watch for your bill insert in September and October for an entry form or stop in our office to fill out an entry form.

Please join us in celebrating Public Power during October.
